Richard Chai Love Spring/Summer 2014 New York

Richard Chai looked to the energy of New York City to set the stage for his spring/summer 2014 collection. Chai explained that he was inspired by “geometric shapes and patterns, but doing them in a way that feels soft and fluid.” Fused with his inclination for sportswear, the collection proved effortless with soft lines and a color palette that touched upon a natural hued summer juxtaposed with the harshness of the city. Collaborating with label Andrew Marc, Chai took advantage of his new role as creative design consultant, working on this season’s leather jackets.
