Robert Geller Spring/Summer 2014

Continuing his penchant for translating social movements and changes into fashionable moments, designer Robert Geller looks to the changing cultural climate of 1980s Russia to inform his spring/summer 2014 collection. Referencing youth, new wave and punk, Geller’s storied layers come together with a rocking attitude. Here somber grays, subdued blues and a splash of mustard yellow complement each other, painting a cool picture, expanded with an idea of pushing boundaries, whether it is physically with varying proportions or visually with gradients and color blocking. At ease, the collection excels, providing an array of cuffed shorts, lightweight knits, short-sleeved tops, tapered trousers and Geller’s trademark outerwear revamped for the fashion-conscious.
