MATIERE SPRING/SUMMER 2014 COLLECTION

matiere1

Core to the existence of Matiere is the belief that “Quality menswear combines innovative fabrics, meticulous tailoring, and thoughtful, modern designs – Each piece has a purpose and a reason to be in your wardrobe.”  Matiere, taken from the French word meaning “material” or “subject matter”, is the newly launched, textile, tactile focused fashion collaboration of Scot Shandalove and Jake Zeitlin.  Matiere’s premiere SS14 collection and  AW14 collection (not shown) is the embodiment of Shandalove and Zeitlin’s fascination with premium, state-of-the-art fabrics across many continents – and all materials used in Matiere’s collections are painstakingly developed by and for Matiere exclusively.

For Spring/Summer 14, Matiere has created an expertly curated collection of elevated basics that define “casual luxury” through their finest proprietary textiles made up of woven and knit linen, chambray, snub cotton, french terry, modal jersey, and marled cotton and linen.
