Costume National Spring/Summer 2015 Milan

Costume National creative director Ennio Capasa delivered another rock ’n’ roll fueled outing for spring/summer 2015. Citing personal music icons that have inspired his own style, Capasa looked to Mick Jagger, David Bowie, Lou Reed, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards for inspiration. Capasa explained, “They all express a sense of liberated elegance. It is time to look at the future with fresh eyes, abandon cliche, surprise with a free spirit.” Culminating in a collection with references to the 1970s, shirts of gauze were cut slim, while pants came in flared and skinny fits. Meanwhile, biker jackets were repurposed for a colorful champion of the season that seamlessly transitioned from relaxed suiting with large lapels to fitted viscose knitwear, stylish ankle boots and chic neckties.
