Fall/Winter 2014 “WEIRD DREAM” by Q DESIGN AND PLAY is inspired by a childhood memory of the designer, Praphat Somboonsitti that he was bullied in school. From his very own imaginary world and dreams no one could understand then, they are now portrayed in this Fall/Winter Collection. The structure of this collection is based on a school uniform with formal jacket and pants, as well as a gym class uniform, but it is clearly made different by adding a little tweak to it or by cutting out some usual element. Other elements from other living things, such as fur and horns, are added in combination with the design. The print pattern is left incomplete, leaving the imaginary creatures look distorted. This collection focuses on using natural colors like earth tones; brown, beige, grey from fur, as well as bright orange, that is used to emphasize that dreams are different from reality.
