22/4 _Hommes Spring/Summer 2017 Paris

By Paulina Szmydke

Stephanie Hahn understands a good suit. Handmade in Germany, the pieces she puts out ooze chic, but remain playful, signaling the youthful character that is needed to stay relevant and fresh amid more established brands. For spring, the designer worked double-breasted, laid-back blazers in tropical wool and high-waisted, belted trousers, cropped to reveal a sporty sneaker, upped with a nylon cuff or in the form of tailored tennis shorts. They channeled this season’s versatile and athletic mood.

Her signature crisp white shirts played the part, too, as they were equipped with detachable hoodies and cord detailing.

Less convincing was a run of allover nylon ensembles, some of which were paired with stretch racing tops or Neoprene vests, taking the athletic theme too literally.
