Malafacha Fall/Winter 2017 Mexico City

Mexican designers Francisco Saldaña and Víctor Hernal presented their Fall/Winter 2017 collection entitled “Rumpus”, as part of the activities of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Mexico.

The proposal of “Rumpus”, composed of androgynous and oversized pieces, carried out by the already traditional silhouette out of Malafacha, and where the “oversized” tendency prevails and the color palette was led by sober tones, dark shadows andoccasionally showing a color brush around every silhouette.

According to designers, the collection was inspired by a children’s horror book, one of the key elements were the applications in the garments: The moon, eyes, tears, claws and wings, that printed the rumpus touch to “Rumpus”.

In the end, the models came out to show part of the collection slowly forming a circle, to remain motionless until “Flor Amargo” ended with a last tune.
