Junya Watanabe Spring/Summer 2018 Paris

At Lycée Jacques Decour in Paris we watched a masculine working class collection by Junya Watanabe who separating the men from the boys. Junya collaboration with Carhartt-WIP a workwear founded in 1889 is the contemporary way of living the Carhartt brand, reshaping the outstanding Carhartt workwear legacy.

That is why the collection included painted artsy jackets, trousers, denim, pants, shirts and t-shirt painted, crafthanded by Carhartt-Wip. But some denim were provided by The North Face and Levi’s.

Artistic details such as paint stains and the reinvented workwear essence are part of Junya Watanabe’s S/S 2018 collection in Paris, presenting day-to-day looks with utility pockets and taking his unmistakable patchwork work to sports-looking garments to add dynamism and modernity to the collection.
