The Softer Side of Hunk Austin Scoggin – A Pictorial by Mikey Tadesse

One of our favorites, Oregon-native Austin Scoggin of DT Model Management in LA, is back on Fashionably Male with a new shoot by Mikey Tadesse. Austin is a hazel-eyed, 6’1” blonde; the 22 year-old started his modeling career in Portland, and is now represented all over the globe.

This shoot was inspired by the classic European male sense of style, with loose fitting eccentric button-ups and an effortless look. Mikey explained, “I wanted to do this specific style of Austin to showcase his natural structure and bring out a more laid back and softer side of the hunky built model that everyone loves. That contrast was the reason I shot with him.”

The shoot location was Manhattan Beach, California where Austin and Mikey went strolling through the neighborhood areas looking for scenic spots. Mikey added, “A fun fact about the shoot was that most of the clothes, specifically the tops, were actually womenswear pieces that I felt could be translated into unisex pieces. I wanted to show off a different side of a casual, more romantic way of dressing that still amplifies Austin’s stern masculinity.”

Mikey Tadesse is a 21 year-old old fashion photographer and stylist currently based in Los Angeles CA. He also runs a website which posts fashion editorials, street style and lifestyle posts while also collaborating with various creatives in the industry. While working with Ford Models, Photogenics LA, Vision LA, and DT Model Management, he’s developed an aesthetic that centers around androgyny and showcasing contrast with a modern twist.
