Loewe’s starts the fire
Spanish brand Loewe Spring/Summer 2019 Paris is showing the goods on the new lookbook with undress models.
Headed up by an advertising campaign featuring actor Josh O’Connor, LOEWE’s new menswear collection flits across time and space to illicit a boyish study of dressing up.
Childhood memories haze with botanical and geometric motifs like sea urchins and stained glass, cowri shells and whelks, bandanas, and mythological lions.
The collection was presented in the LOEWE headquarters on Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris, where the space was transformed into a naïve playground featuring images from the house’s latest printed publication shot by American art photographer Duane Michals.

The 21st installment in the house’s ongoing series of seasonal publications is the second to be photographed by American art photographer Duane Michals.
The collection takes centre stage at Casa Gallardo, a private home in Madrid, as eleven male protagonists perform in various states of dress (and undress).
Michals tells an absurd narrative through handwritten titles – his spontaneous imagery conjuring up a variety show of timeless domestic heroes.
