Off-White Menswear Fall/Winter 2020 Paris

Paris coverage, let’s hit with Off-White Menswear Fall/Winter 2020 Paris

The most important news about the latest Off-White show is that its designer Virgil Abloh was present. The creative missed the Off-White show in September at the Pompidou Center, but was very present at the Carousel du Louvre on Wednesday morning, the first full day of menswear shows of the fall / winter 2020 season in Paris.

Off-White’s invitation said “Tornado Warning” in quotes and Abloh spoke again about his artistic mentor, Marcel Duchamp. It showed a teenage girl with jeans and a white T-shirt fighting the attention of an angry skeleton, next to which there was a bottle of mineral water and a box similar to that of aspirin in which she put “Anything”.

A metaphor for the designer’s announcement last summer that maybe he needed a break due to exhaustion? That is what most people believe in Paris. In Milan, however, they tend to think that their fatigue was due more to the bitter disappointment of not receiving any financial reward from the acquisition of Farfetch by New Guards, the Italian fashion group that controls Off’s long-term license -White, for 675 million dollars.
