Featuring The Oxford and The Loafer from Martine Rose Spring 2024 Collection.

Martine Rose x Nike Shox MR4 “Well, it’s not paint splatters… It’s based on goalie gloves. Everything comes from [soccer]. Sportswear has always been a major part of my collections. It underpins street culture, youth culture, London culture. They’ve always been a part of this fashion repertoire. The MR4 is based on a smart shoe, making a smart shape into a [sneaker]. It’s really that, and I can’t not have a [sneaker] now.”

COMMUNITY 🧃 #DACBE: The #SS24menswear fashion month has kicked off with #MartineRose‘s dynamic fashion show in #London. “Before there were actual club venues as such, people from so many communities co-opted community centers and youth clubs to put on their club nights. All over London, wherever waves of immigrants have come in, you saw them – West Indian, Turkish, Polish, Irish – everyone has had their own community centers. They’re really important, the life-blood, ” Rose said. ”And this one – at St Joseph’s Parish Centre – is untouched. I thought it would be fun for people to sit down, have a drink, and feel pulled into participating in something.”

Her living celebration of London subcultural codes opened on a blast of reggae. Out walked the totally believable Martine Rose cast of characters in clothes layered in her subversively kinky takes on men’s and womenswear.

“I love playing with gender lines. I find it very sexy – I love men in women’s clothes and women in men’s clothes. I think it’s a real proposition. Not a gimmick, you know, a genuine proposal.”
Martine Rose
From teased Clark’s silhouettes to classic british culture references, British-Jamaican Designer Martine Rose portrayed what it’s really like to be British, in her SS24 collection.

Bringing comfort and familiarity to the collection, Rose created this collection for the Londoners. With wearability being at the forefront, finding the balance between avant-garde and unceremonious.
With heavy duty leather taking main stage, followed by Rose’s instantly recognisable tailoring, the Hi-Vis, Punk Rocker Camden Pins, the collection wrapped up what it means to be from London.
All classically paired with casual items such as joggers or the humble straight leg jean; this collection spoke to the Londoners. With ‘Clark’s’ silhouettes being teased, the new Creative Director of the shoe sensation has set the bar high, as to what we can expect.
