Rain couldn’t dampen the energy at Milan Fashion Week as Ferragamo unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in the courtyard of the Portrait Milano hotel. Creative director Maximilian Davis delivered a sultry, soigné, and lounge-worthy interpretation of the ’20s, the birth decade of the Florentine house.
Despite a dark brown carpet still sodden from earlier downpours, the collection shimmered with light fabrics and airy textures. Davis drew inspiration from Jazz Age icons, including American actress Lola Todd in leopard and American cartoonist John Held Jr., whose illustrations captured the era’s exuberance and rebellion.
Davis’ vision was clear: the ’20s as a time for self-expression, speakeasies, and sartorial freedom, especially for women. His designs blended slouchy, shawl-collared tailoring with drop-waist shift dresses and pajama-like ensembles. Abstract animal spots appeared in satin devoré, flapper dresses exuded boudoir elegance with scalloped satin and airy lace, and glossy mules with sculptural heels completed each look.

Fringe, a signature of the era, appeared in unexpected places, from wrists to ribs, offering a playful nod to historical details. Highlights included a black patent skirt suit and polo dress reprised from Ferragamo’s 1998 collection, featuring iconic Gancini turn lock clasps.
Ultimately, Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2026 seduces with lustrous textures, slouchy silhouettes, and Maximilian Davis’ original whisper of the roaring ’20s—sultry, sophisticated, and perfectly attuned to modern lounge culture.
