Siki Im Men’s RTW Fall 2015 New York

Inspired by the urban renewal and gentrification in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, Siki Im offered a fall collection of futuristic men’s wear staples. Car coats with paneled sleeves and fur collared bombers with inner sleeves longer than the actual jacket felt like whimsical folk art.

“I’ve been working with this artist Clayton Patterson who is a Lower East Side cult figure on these hand -chained embroideries,” I’m said. “There are only two stitch machines available in New York.”

The collection featured all-natural fibers — wool, silk and cashmere from Japan and Italy. Highlights included a cashmere topcoat over a tunic and button-down paired with leather pants, and a tapestry printed parka
paired with oversized trousers.
