Paul & Joe Spring 2016 Menswear

Rather than gleaning inspiration from a geographic place, Sophie Albou turned to a time — namely, the end of a summer’s day — for her spring collection. A key print was a mix of butterflies and flowers, meant to appear as they intertwined at dusk. Paul & Joe’s color palette was more subdued this season, with dark greens, blues and black, and was infused with bohemian chic details, such as embroideries. A larger selection of suits and loose, pleated shorts made a showing. The wearable line had a sophisticated edge thanks to fine fabrics like jacquards and linen and a fun streak, not least due to a tie-in on a capsule collection with Warner Bros. (cue Tweety Bird and Sylvester).
