The Native Youth Spring/Summer 2016 collection takes inspiration from the Impressionist artistic movement. Mark making, abstract and hand drawn style techniques are exhibited throughout prints and colour pops within the collection.

With many staple classics, Native Youth take Picasso’s famous quote ‘Youth has no Age’ and relate it to their ethos of creating timeless pieces that do not exclude any age group.

Expect some cool contemporary prints alongside clean stripes and checks, utilising various materials. The brand collaborated with textile and print designer, Lauren Bouch for the art direction of the look-book. “The team were drawn to Bouch’s expressive style, distinctive mark making techniques and use of unusual mediums to create large scale artworks”

During the lookbook shoot, Lauren simultaneously created multiple paintings on 8ft canvases inspired by the movements and prints present on the day which were later curated and transferred to the pages of the seasons look book.

The S/S16 collection launches on www.native-youth.com mid February.

Native Youth is also available across select stores within UK, Europe, USA, Canada, Asia and Australia.
