Dolce&Gabbana presents Alta Sartoria in Monreale, July 2017

A show that shares the story of the town of Monreale through the most exquisite textures, fabrics, color palette and art applications.

Hospitality, efficiency, splendor. These three epithets will certainly enter the memory of those who have had the honor and the pleasure of attending Monreale’s fashion show at  Dolce&Gabbana’s fashion show. The result is in the eyes of everyone. An organizing machine is not easy to handle for a city not accustomed to hosting events of this magnitude but who has been able to give the best of itself, proving to be up to date. And in the face of the end result, the screaming applause, the beauty of the scenery that has been the backdrop of the catwalk and the model parade, the enormous media resonance that has wrapped the city of Monreale projecting it on the half-world screens and on the main heads International newspapers, the criticisms against the administration’s choice to privatize the square and to keep them distant from the distance that citizens go through in the background, lose substance.

Glittering gold dresses like the precious mosaics of the Monreale Duomo, 100 models descending the stairs from the Civic Gallery balcony, half an hour high fashion in front of 450 customers from all over the world including Rivas, Chaves, Countess Giorgina Brandolini d’Adda, Alessandra Borghese, Gaetano Pennino, Maria Elena Volpes, Lina Bellanca, Fabio Corsini. The dinner at the Cloisters served by the chef Christmas Junta based on melon meatballs, Sicilian macaroni and swordfish rolls and vegetable couscous, and, finally, Blanc Jasmine and Donnafugata wines. Here is the Haute Couture event by Dolce and Gabbana. Here are the most beautiful photos of the evening published on social networks.

This patched leather jacket honors the art and landscapes of Monreale. A Sicilian blend of Norman, French, Byzantine and Arab elements in scenes created on glittery gold jackets paired with white silk satin pants. Thin black contrast piping on white robes at the Alta Sartoria show in Monreale. A blend of Norman and Arabic influence in a patched leather polo echoing the construction of mosaic art, true to Monreale culture with solid tonal tipping at the collar and sleeve hems. Mosaic motifs on sequin jackets reflect the hill-top town of Monreale known for cathedrals completely covered with gleaming mosaic interiors.
