MASSBRANDED, the high-end streetwear brand for men who want to dress casually without dressing down, has launched its 3rd collection entitled ‘Off-Duty’.
Designer Mass Luciano continues to be influenced by his childhood in a military family; this time drawing inspiration from the physical training uniform used by servicemen during exercise, drills and casual off-duty time. ‘I wanted to reinterpret the military fatigue for confident men who aren’t afraid to stand out,’ said Luciano. ‘Each style was designed as a sort of uniform, with sets that can be worn together or mixed separately with other pieces from the collection.’
Inspired by the original stripe mesh sweatshirt from the first collection, MASSBRANDED’s signature mesh series has been updated with 6 new styles, including the ENDO short sleeved top. The ENDO is crafted from two contrasting fabrics, the front has strategically placed mesh panels that both conceal and reveal what’s underneath, while the back has a solid soft bonded jersey that stretches for added comfort. “It was important for us to develop innovative ways to work with mesh and high-tech fabrics, while keeping the aesthetics of a streetwear brand,” says co-founder Antoni d’Esterre.
The collection includes sweatshirts, t-shirts, tank tops and shorts in the brand’s signature colours of black and white. Mass Luciano teases “We’re looking to introduce new colours and styles this year: I’m thinking maybe outerwear and track-pant trousers in army green, heather grey and navy blue…’
