Todd Snyder Spring/Summer 2019 New York presented menswear collection yesterday at night with full and special guests at Industria.
This season marks the 7th edition of NYFW: Men’s, which, for the first time, coincides for the first time with Fashion Future Graduate Showcase.
Iowa native Todd Snyder launched his menswear collection for Fall 2011. since then has been embracing by CFDA as a top fashion designer in NYC.
In the collection–which had a fabulous casting– comes with printed tops and plaid trousers with urbanwear combined with sportswear.
This collection couldn’t be done without the help of longing partner-in-crime Jim Moore–Creative Director At Large, GQ.
When Sportswear meets Formalwear
This is a huge deal for this next coming season on menswear. The best example can be the new Spring/Summer 2019 collection.
Having this new plaid and patterned trousers embellishment with graphic tees, cardigans and coats.
Todd using accessories like summer hats, the modernized Gilligan’s hat, including big bags sandals and tennis shoes.
While studying textile and clothing design at Iowa State University, Snyder learned the art of cutting and sewing at the Des Moines haberdashery Badowers.
He spent two decades honing his skills working at Polo Ralph Lauren, the Gap, and J. Crew, where he revamped men’s styling,
Introduced formalwear, and launched a series of collaborations that led to the Liquor Store boutique.
Snyder lives by his mentor’s words: “A perfectly fitted suit makes the man.”
