Let’s Support Photographer Gregory Prescott for Upcoming Show and Book back up this project on Kickstarter.

Gregory Prescott is launching a Kickstarter to help produce a solo photography exhibit and book signing for Only HUMAN project in Los Angeles, CA.

Let's Support Photographer Gregory Prescott for Upcoming Show and Book back up this project on Kickstarter.

I am reaching out for support to help fund my first self produced photography exhibition and coffee table book signing in Los Angeles in October of this year.  I have been in many group art shows in the U.S. and have in the past had a solo show in Houston Tx, but this year I decided for my birthday to create my own solo exhibition in L.A. along with publishing another book, Only HUMAN where I will have copies at the show.  To help fund all of this, I created a Kickstarter with a goal of $6000.  I’m half way to my goal with only 10 days left.  If I don’t reach my goal of $6000, I receive no funds from Kickstarter but if I reach my goal, I receive the funds to help pay gallery rental cost, prints, framing, promotional materials and printing cost of books.

The book is a continuation of my HUMAN project, where I have photographed many models of diversity.  I feel it is important to show representation of more diverse models in fine art photography.  I will be showcasing models of different race and cultures, different genders and sexual life style, different body, skin and hair types, different skin conditions like albinism, alopecia and vitiligo.

I feel it is important to represent models of diversity in art to help people feel good about themselves and for us to appreciate the beauty of others who are not the same as ourselves.

There are so many different types of people on this earth and we need to learn to be more acceptable of different people around us.  People even tend to bully others whom they do not identify with or understand.

I love people who are different from myself and find the differences fascinating and we can learn so much from our differences so I hope through my photography work, other people will feel the same.

It’s all about spreading love, not hate and with the climate of this country right now, I think we all need a dose of this reality and finding the beauty of others and I use my photography to spread this message.  With all that said, I wanted to create an exhibit and coffee table book of portraits and art nudes to showcase this vision.  Our body is our temple yet it is also something that is shunned and found shameful instead of beautiful.

Our bodies are a work of art. The nude is an art form.

For those who follow my work, I have shot a lot of new material in the past year, like photographers normally do, and I will be showcasing new work at the show in Los Angeles in October and there will be a lot of new work printed in a hardbound 220 page coffee table book that no one have laid their eyes on.  There will be a lot of new, never seen before material in this project.

Also the coffee table book, Only HUMAN is available for preorder for $60 plus shipping and will be sent out in October so preorder your copy today to help reach Gregory’s goal.

With your support and financial backing, there are many rewards to choose from and all funds will go towards producing a great art photography show in LA and a great book for your photography collection and an opportunity to receive a print of your choice of any image you see on my website or Instagram.

Thank you for all of your support and I appreciate any contribution in making this event happen. Prescott deadline is August 25, 2019 with a goal of $6000.  I’m half way there but it’s all or nothing so any backing is helpful.  Thanks again!
