When he was seventeen years old, he entered his first modeling contest on his mother’s urging.

He made Forbes magazine’s 2008 list of the world’s top ten male models.

Born and raised in Uba, Minas Gerais, Brazil, he grew up in a family of Italian heritage. He has been dating model Yasmin Brunet since 2012.

He was featured in Lady Gaga’s “Alejandro” music video.
