Coach Men’s Fall 2024 New York

Last season marked a significant milestone for Stuart Vevers as he celebrated his tenth anniversary at Coach. As fall 2024 unfolds, Vevers continues to impress by demonstrating a steadfast refusal to rest on his laurels, showcasing an unwavering commitment to innovation. Despite the challenging economic landscape, sales at Coach have surged, a testament to Vevers’ forward-thinking strategies. Prior to his show, Vevers emphasized his determination to prioritize sustainability, aiming to integrate recycling, upcycling, and reevaluation at the core of his design processes for Coach. His creative vision now intertwines with concepts of relevance, responsibility, and urgency, reflecting a conscientious approach to design and production. Vevers’ focus lies in fostering an environment where creativity intertwines with responsibility, reflecting his dedication to establishing Coach as a brand with a purpose. This approach has been further validated by the experimental endeavors of the offshoot label Coachtopia, underscoring Vevers’ bold and visionary leadership.

The intriguing aspect of our approach to sustainability within the show as opposed to the brand lies in our unwavering commitment to experimentation and the pursuit of novelty. As the individual articulated, the essence of the show revolves around the embrace of novel concepts and the continual exploration of uncharted territories. This entails not only a dedication to pushing the boundaries of creativity and aesthetic appeal but also a proactive endeavor to integrate and test sustainable practices. The ethos of fearlessly approaching these endeavours has marked a significant transition for the person in question, fostering an environment where innovation and sustainability interplay harmoniously. It’s within this unbounded sphere of creative freedom that seeds of ideas take root, eventually blossoming into significant developments for the enterprise at large.

A celebration of our New York City heritage, stripped down to the essentials. Inspired by the iconic people, places and things that make the city their home. Designed and delivered with love. #CoachNY

A New York City love story. ♥️🚕 Our #CoachFall24 Collection, presented at #NYFW.

Fall, then, joyously embraced a spirited celebration of the authentic and the worn, the affectionately used and the simply well-worn, an approach that resonated throughout the collection regardless of gender. The presentation was striking. It showcased weathered coats, relaxed and generously proportioned with sloping shoulders, exuding the appearance of having been worn for numerous years. Similarly, the distressed and weathered denims, meticulously patched together from thrifted pieces by the Coach team, reflected a composite of different life cycles of the humble jean. The collection also featured an abundance of aviator jackets, repurposed and transformed into stunning barn jackets with a splendidly aged patina. Additionally, there were versions crafted from new shearling and leather, some adorned with fringe, in addition to those of vintage origin.

Vevers initiated and concluded the presentation with taffeta evening ensembles in shades of black, pink, and lilac. He meticulously tailored the dresses, transforming them into tops and reserving the skirts for other ensembles. Delicately adorned with bows, some adorned with sequins, these outfits exuded a distinctive ’80s aesthetic reminiscent of Amy Arbus, featuring elements such as East Village thrift store-inspired cocktail attire, tuxedos, pointed Oxfords, and robust biker boots. Alongside the ’80s influence, there were traces of the ’90s, the period when Vevers first arrived in New York. “I am integrating elements from my ’90s encounters in New York with a sense of nostalgia,” he remarked. “However, I aim to reinterpret them through a more comprehensive perspective, which I believe characterizes my work at Coach and brings me personal satisfaction.”

  1. Stuart Vevers really knows how to blend nostalgia with modern sustainability! The Fall 2024 collection sounds like a beautiful tribute to New York City, with those weathered coats and repurposed pieces. It reminds me of the time I took the rice purity test—a fun way to reflect on past experiences!
