Lemaire Menswear Spring 2025 Paris

In the bustling city of Paris, the Lemaire fashion house unveiled its Spring 2025 collection, showcasing a harmonious blend of cinematic influences and everyday sophistication. The design duo, Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran, skillfully fused their unique artistic vision with functional elegance, resulting in a lineup that exuded both style and practicality.

Lemaire and Tran drew inspiration from an eclectic mix of sources, including Amish aesthetics, Wim Wenders’ films of the 1990s, the works of choreographer Pina Bausch, and even the beading on orthopedic car seats commonly found in Parisian taxis. Seeking to streamline their designs this season, the duo sought “more straightforward silhouettes and things that you can refer to instantaneously,” as Tran mentioned backstage.

Amidst a season of classic styles, Lemaire returned to their own unique design language, incorporating tailored workwear-grade twill and denim pieces, relaxed coats, and boxy wide-collared shirts. Balloon and parachute volumes added a touch of nonchalance and summery ease to sleeves and trousers.

A hint of sensuality emerged through leaner feminine silhouettes, second-skin knits, and subtle yet tasteful skin-baring elements, such as garter details. The duo’s preferred color palette of blacks, shades of gray, and toasted browns made a strong presence in the lineup.

The work of Paris-based visual artist Philippe Weisbecker, known for his focus on everyday objects, further inspired the collection, appearing as prints on various garments. The artist’s influence was also evident in the incorporation of sun-faded, dusty pastels that concluded the show.

The Lemaire Spring 2025 presentation took place at the brand’s headquarters on Place des Vosges, where models walked the circular raised catwalk with a captivating air of street charm. Interacting with the audience, they paused, glanced back, and even gave occasional twirls, allowing guests to appreciate the intricate details of the garments.

Reflecting on the collection’s design philosophy, Christophe Lemaire shared his desire to create “good friends in your wardrobe—accomplices—that will make you feel confident.” Lemaire’s commitment to providing practical yet elegant solutions for everyday life was palpable throughout the Spring 2025 lineup. With their masterful fusion of cinematic references and functionality, the design duo continues to craft their own unique aesthetic in the realm of high fashion.
