Diesel Spring 2025: Pushing Denim Beyond the Limit with Elevated Distressing

Diesel’s Spring 2025 collection, under Glenn Martens’ visionary direction, took denim to unprecedented heights, blending artistry with technical innovation. Known for its rebellious spirit, Diesel introduced artisanal distressing, devoré jacquard, and extra-long fringe through intricate embroidery, elevating the everyday uniform.

“There is beauty in waste,” Martens proclaimed, and the show set reflected this ethos. Created from 14,800kg of denim scraps, the immersive environment highlighted Diesel’s commitment to circularity in production. Post-show, the entire set will be reused, with denim rolls destined for the automotive and insulation sectors.

The collection centered on the elevation of denim, with seemingly simple garments transformed by high-level craftsmanship. From double loom denim to circular, laser, and distressed treatments, Diesel’s ongoing experiment with denim stretched the boundaries of design, with standout pieces like a leather double-breasted jacket treated to mimic denim.

Diesel’s Spring 2025 show reaffirmed its pioneering role in fashion, seamlessly blending innovative production techniques with bold, boundary-pushing design.

It’s a collection all about elevation. We’ve pushed the fabric innovation making the impossible possible. Denim is treated and distressed with extra-long fringing embroidered. Denim, jaquard and knit are reimagined using a double loom, lasered to seem destroyed. Prince of Wales checks are printed on PVC and then cut into garments. Archival Bandanas have been reused, coated onto pleated fabric then cracked open. There are seasonal interpretation of Play bag and Scrunch D. The eyewear collection is the first developed with new licensee Luxottica.
