British actor Leo Woodall has been making waves in the entertainment industry, starring in major productions such as Netflix’s One Day, HBO’s The White Lotus, and the upcoming Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. However, with rising fame comes newfound challenges, and Woodall recently revealed that an uncomfortable fan interaction has led him to avoid using public transport in London.

A Shift Away from Public Transport
In a candid interview with Elle UK, Woodall shared that he has largely stopped taking the London Underground after a strange encounter with a female fan. “I don’t really get the Tube any more,” he admitted. “A woman told me her husband gets really jealous. It was just so uncomfortable.”

The 28-year-old actor reflected on his rapid rise to fame, noting that while initially thrilling, the attention quickly became overwhelming. “At first it was, like, ‘oh this is cool’, and pretty quickly it just started to feel a bit icky,” he said.

Navigating Stardom and Keeping Private Matters Private
Woodall, who has reportedly been in a relationship with White Lotus co-star Meghann Fahy, 34, is committed to keeping his personal life out of the public eye. He believes that maintaining privacy is essential for a healthy relationship. “We’re very good at keeping it as private as we can,” he explained. “To me, that’s the only way. You see public relationships all the time slapped all over social media, and I can’t imagine that’s any fun. It should be a safe space, and so I think letting people into it is completely counterproductive.”

Inspired by Bryan Cranston’s Approach to Fame
As Woodall navigates his growing success, he looks to Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston for guidance. He admires how Cranston has managed to stay grounded despite immense fame. “Instead of being in the limelight and getting caught up in all that, he’s just kept a lid on it and made some really good work,” Woodall remarked.

Upcoming Roles: From Romance to High-Stakes Tech Thrillers
Woodall continues to expand his acting repertoire with diverse roles. In Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, he plays Roxster, a charming Hampstead Heath park worker who rescues Bridget (played by Renée Zellweger) from a tree, leading to a whirlwind romance.

In Apple TV+’s Prime Target, he takes on a more intense role as Edward Brooks, a student attempting to gain access to the world’s computers while facing formidable hidden forces trying to stop him.

With his career on the rise and an increasing fan following, Woodall is learning to balance his professional achievements with the challenges that come with public recognition. As he continues to captivate audiences on screen, his approach to fame and privacy will undoubtedly shape his journey in Hollywood.
