Kit Connor is not just growing up—he’s growing into something extraordinary. Gracing the cover of FLAUNT Magazine’s Issue 197, titled Rhythm Is A Dancer, the British actor is stepping into a new era—poised, powerful, and unapologetically in command of his craft.

Known for stealing hearts as Nick Nelson in Heartstopper, and more recently, for his compelling portrayal of Romeo in Romeo + Juliet, Connor is shedding the skin of child stardom to reveal a deeply committed and maturing artist. The Flaunt editorial captures this very evolution—Connor, confident and kinetic, both a still-life and a moving force.

His upcoming film Warfare, set against the harrowing backdrop of Iraq, promises to be a performance that solidifies his transformation into a serious cinematic talent. The film doesn’t shy away from the weight of trauma or the consequences of conflict—and neither does Connor. He approaches it not as a spectacle, but as a responsibility.

In conversation with Flaunt, he recalls the moment he knew acting was his calling:

“The moment that I really decided that this was what I was going to do was when I did my first film around the age of nine—it made me feel like I’d never felt before, and that was the point where I thought, ‘Wow, I could really do this as a job.’”

It’s that childhood spark—now shaped by experience and depth—that defines the Kit Connor we see today. On the cover, he’s not just a performer; he’s a vessel of the craft, a servant to the story, and a heart that beats in rhythm with the roles he chooses.

FLAUNT’s latest issue isn’t just another fashion spread—it’s a pulse check on an actor in motion.

Stay tuned, because Kit Connor isn’t just playing the part. He’s becoming the future of film.

After starring in Season 3 of Netflix’s hit show Heartstopper last fall and making his Broadway debut as Romeo in @RomeoJulietNYC this winter, Kit Connor plays Tommy in A24’s Warfare Movie this April. The movie, written and directed by Alex Garland and SEAL Veteran Ray Mendoza, is an action thriller following a platoon of Navy SEALS in insurgent territory during the Iraq War in 2006.
