Soft, sensual, playful, and unapologetically confident. Nino returns to his modeling roots in an intimate new editorial photographed by Nixon Marquez, revealing the many sides of a modern muse.

There is something captivating about a man who feels completely comfortable in his own skin. No elaborate styling, no extravagant sets, no need to perform. Just natural confidence, masculine beauty, and the freedom to be himself.
In this exclusive editorial for Fashionably Male, Nino steps in front of photographer Nixon Marquez for The Modern Muse, a personal and provocative portrait series that celebrates sensuality, self-expression, and the simple pleasure of modeling.

Moving between intimate bedroom portraits, relaxed domestic moments, and confident displays of his physique, Nino reminds us that masculinity can be powerful, vulnerable, playful, and effortlessly sexy—all at once.

Back to His Modeling Roots
For Nino, this editorial represents a different creative direction from his previous photographic work.
While his last editorial explored a moodier, more fashion-driven aesthetic, connecting with his artistic identity and musical journey, The Modern Muse brings him back to something more instinctive: his love of modeling.

As Nino explains:
“It’s a very fun, sexy & sensual story.”

He continues:
“So, last editorial was more moody & fashionable, tapping into the artist side and behind the music, and this editorial is mostly going back to the modeling roots and quite sexy, soft and provocative but also the fun side of it, as you see me as well in my comfort zone with my pets etc.”

That personal connection gives the photographs their distinctive charm.
There is no distance between the subject and the viewer. Instead, Nixon Marquez captures Nino in moments that feel spontaneous, familiar, and refreshingly unguarded.

The Beauty of Being Comfortable in Your Own Skin
One of the editorial’s most appealing qualities is its relaxed atmosphere.
The opening photographs introduce a softer side of Nino, dressed casually in white while sharing a tender moment with a golden retriever.
From there, the visual narrative becomes increasingly intimate.
Bare skin, tousled curls, subtle expressions, and natural light establish a sensual atmosphere without sacrificing authenticity.

Nino moves effortlessly between reclining on a bed, leaning against doorways, and posing in minimal underwear.
His athletic physique becomes part of the visual composition, while his expressions introduce something equally compelling: personality.
The result is a portrait of masculine beauty that feels approachable rather than untouchable.
Nixon Marquez Captures the Modern Muse

Photographer Nixon Marquez approaches the series with an appreciation for natural light, understated interiors, and the relationship between the male form and its surroundings.
Rather than relying on elaborate fashion productions, Marquez allows Nino’s presence to carry the story.

Soft neutral tones, warm skin, and gentle shadows create an inviting visual language.
A striped sleeveless top introduces a playful, slightly nostalgic mood. Elsewhere, a fitted T-shirt, black briefs, and an open leather jacket bring a subtle rebellious energy to the photographs.
The black-and-white portraits add another dimension, emphasizing the sculptural qualities of Nino’s physique and the elegance of his movements.

Particularly striking are the images captured around the staircase, where architectural lines frame his athletic silhouette.
Throughout the editorial, Marquez balances classic male portraiture with the intimacy of contemporary lifestyle photography.

More Than a Model
What makes The Modern Muse particularly interesting is its connection to Nino’s evolving creative identity.

Beyond modeling, music remains an important part of his artistic expression.
Yet this editorial is a reminder that pursuing one passion does not mean abandoning another.
As Nino puts it:
“Almost like a reminder that I do still enjoy modeling very much and that it’s my passion, besides the music.”

There is something refreshing about that sentiment.
In an industry constantly searching for the next transformation, Nino embraces the pleasure of returning to what he loves.
And perhaps that is what makes this editorial so appealing.
It is not about reinventing himself.
It is about enjoying who he already is.

The Modern Muse: Masculinity Without Pretension

Sensuality does not always need dramatic lighting or provocative styling.
Sometimes, it exists in the smallest gestures: an unguarded expression, a relaxed posture, the way natural light falls across someone’s shoulders.

Through Nixon Marquez’s lens, Nino embodies a contemporary vision of masculine beauty—confident without arrogance, sensual without excess, and comfortable enough to reveal his playful side.

The Modern Muse is ultimately a celebration of self-confidence, artistic freedom, and the enduring appeal of authentic male portraiture.
And for Nino, it is also a welcome return to the camera.
