Men's fashion aficionados have gathered this week at Florence’s Pitti Uomo 91 fair for a first look at Fall 2017 and the big event on the calendar is Tim Coppens, who succeeds Raf Simons as guest designer.

Tim Coppens blended Japanese and early Nineties references in his spring collection, with layered gilets over color-blocked anoraks he paired with Japanese slippers. Signature bombers and parachute jackets were also offered, helping the collection remain true to the brand’s DNA.

Tim Coppens’s latest collection was a tribute to human unpredictability. Coppens didn’t intend that; rather, the meaning emerged from the way he ducked and dodged the expected, usually right at the moment when you thought you’d figured out what he was up to.
