Bleeding Heart – Mike Petrone is more than a handsome faced, ink model, he is also a United States Army, Purple Heart, Veteran. During a mission, he rushed squadmates out of danger after coming under fire and being struck in the face by shrapnel from a blast. After receiving his Purple Heart, he was released with a medical discharge. The time he spent in the army and the time spent in a battle zone pushed an already selfless person into focusing his efforts on humanitarian work. A true man of valor, he started the movement Cultivate Kindness, “to inspire, motivate, and raise awareness on the importance of volunteering and being kind in our everyday lives.” Just recently he released his book Leaving Footprints Behind that chronologues his journey from a soldier, veteran, wanderlust, and humanitarian.
Mike is currently on another wanderlust through the southeast of Asia.
