Under/Construction by Eliran Ashraf S/S 2016

“ColoursOut” Collection (Spring/Summer 2016)

Eliran Ashraf (32) is a textile & fashion designer graduated from the Shenkar High College in Israel (2013) specialising in knitting & printing technologies. He is currently living and developing his premium urban wear brand UNDER/CONSTRUCTION in Geneva, Switzerland and manufacturing in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The inspiration for the designs, as the title of the brand suggests, revolves around urban structures, street art and modern architecture. As someone who comes from a multi- cultural place like Israel, Eliran is intrigued by the idea of tribes, authentic tribal textiles and patterns.

The Spring Summer 16 collection named ColoursOut include premium printed t-shirts made from high quality natural fabrics, in shades of white, grey, blue, black & light green. The print illustrations made were made by Eliran, and each one of them express the tribal influences and the concept of construction in everyday fashion. Charged with multiple urban angles such as grid lines, construction sites, order and chaos, cranes and building skeletons, these prints celebrate the multi cultural mix we live in.

Each one of the collection’s t-shirts is signed with a hand made embroidery stitch found
in the right part of the collar, the brand’s unique signature, echoing the world of textile craft. All items may have been made with men in mind, however completely unisex and made for anyone who likes to play, experiment and celebrate urban life with wearable fashion.

The collections’ photoshoot was shot in Geneva by photographer Jeremy Spierer with model Franck Vionnet, during the circus’ visit to town. The colourful set and the contrast between the urban landscapes made it the perfect background for this collection shoot.

The brand will expand later this year to full collection items and textile products with attention to details and already offers print products accompanying this current collection and sharing its artistic vision.

The collection is available online at the brand’s official website and on Etsy.com:
