On Fire! The Work of Photographer Blake Ballard /PnV Feature

Lately, one emerging photographer producing work that often stops me in my tracks is that of Blake Ballard. Based in the epicenter of the Deep South, Atlanta, Georgia, Blake is doing some sensational shooting of top agency models from New York to Los Angeles to Miami to his hometown in Hotlanta.

Blake knows a lot about modeling as he happens to also be a full-time model. A graduate from the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas with a degree in Economics and a double minor in Studio Art and Drama, Blake is signed as a model with Ursula Wiedmann Models and Heffner Management Seattle. He has appeared in campaigns for companies like Original Penguin, Alternative Apparel, Casemate, Verizon Wireless, Tropic Isle Living, and Delta Airlines.  In addition, Blake has appeared in countless editorials.

Today’s focus on Fashionably Male is the photographer aspect of Blake’s skill set. Without a doubt, Blake’s modeling experience helps him understand precisely what clients and agents are looking for in an image. With a focus on the raw emotion of his subjects and the power in the movement of the human form, he is able to capture the true character of each model he photographs. Blake travels a lot, and shoots many of our favorite male models; as you can see in this feature, his lens is on fire!
