Ricardo Seco Fall/Winter 2017 New York

Fashion designer Ricardo Seco speaks his mind out! Presenting A/W 2017 Menswear/Womenswear collection in New York, titled “Juntos / Together” in support of immigrants. His main inspiration pulled from both the Mexican flag—where Seco was born— and the American flag, the country in which he currently resides, like thousands of similar people is living a true real hell now in the States.

The collection features pieces like an embroidered sweater with the coat of arms found on the Mexican flag as well as t-shirts and sweatshirts with immigrant rally cries such as “Tear Down This Wall. Make American Great Again” and “Juntos, Basta Ya!”

Seco can’t deny his Mexican roots, he’s a true fighter for immigrants rights, and worked really hard to be where he is right now, this collection can best be described as athleisure with a cause. All wearing sneakers by NewBalance.

The standout piece was a red long coat with the most powerful phrase created by a Mexican President: “Entre los individuos, como entre las Naciones, el Respeto al Derecho Ajeno es la Paz”— Benito Juárez.

Fashion is here to make its voice heard and help you make yours heard as well.
