F1 Drivers on the Amber Lounge Runway at the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix

The fashionable stars of F1 steal the show at the Amber Lounge Monaco.

If you follow Formula 1 you’ll no doubt be aware of Amber Lounge, the party to be at during three of the most exciting races: Monaco, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

Founded by Sonia Irvine, sister of former F1 driver Eddie Irvine, in Monaco in 2003, Amber Lounge is famous for bringing together icons from the worlds of entertainment, sport and fashion to provide the hottest experiences on the F1 calendar.

While Amber Lounge is open across the entire Monaco Grand Prix weekend, the Friday evening is particularly anticipated for U*NITE, a glamorous night of fashion, music and motorsport.

In the lead up to race day, the atmosphere is electric: the streets and skies of the Principality are abuzz with fast cars and luxurious helicopters from Nice to Monaco transferring VIP guests.

Taking place at the four-star Le Méridien Beach Plaza hotel along the Larvotto waterfront, this year over 750 attendees were treated to performances by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Justin Jesso.

He who sang multi-platinum hit record “Stargazing” featuring Kygo; and Bakermat, a Dutch DJ and music producer. 

Fashion at the Grand Prix

Joining a spectacular Crystal Anniversary edition, VIP attendees, royalty and industry heavyweights mingled at the U*NITE evening.

Enchanted by the special collection presentation by headlining designer, the ‘Queen of Cashmere,’ Alessandra Vicedomini along with Crisoni-clad F1 drivers on the runway.

Formula 1 drivers on the catwalk included local boy Charles Leclerc and teammate Marcus Ericsson from Sauber, Pierre Gasly and Brendon Hartley from Toro Rosso, as well as Esteban Ocon representing Force India. 

The Ladies of F1 included MC’s Natalie Pinkham from Sky Sports and Lee McKenzie from BBC alongside Mara Sangiorgio from Sky Sports Italia.

Tamara Boullier (wife of Eric Boullier, the McLaren racing director) and Amber Lounge Founder Sonia Irvine herself.

The intoxicating atmosphere was heightened by the special entertainment from CDMX Mexico City, which is the Official Destination Partner of Amber Lounge.

In the esteemed presence of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, the evening raised an impressive amount for Race Against Dementia.

A charity launched by legendary Formula 1 driver Sir Jackie Stewart with the mission to fund breakthrough and innovative dementia research.

The celebrity guest list included H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco, Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Sir Jackie Stewart with sons Paul and Mark and grandsons Dylan and Zac.

Game of Throne’s stars Liam Cunningham, Kit Harington and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and model Victoria Silvstedt.

Amber Lounge’s success over the past 15 years is a major milestone for the world-renowned entertainment brand.
