He likes to put you in a trance

Like most models, the 19-year-old’s fashion journey starts a long way away from the catwalk. “I had just turned 16 and was working on an airfield with my uncle,” Kit explained to Miss Vogue.

“A retired model called Mackie who still happens to be with my agency Next was learning to fly a helicopter and suggested I go in and have a meeting with them. They signed me straight away.”

“I used to play for my local team, Oxford County and then I’d play occasionally for London Wasps, but I’m actually not allowed to play anymore. My agency has asked me to stop in case I break my nose.”

The rugby career might be behind him, but the team banter remains. In fact, when the flashing lights of fashion shine a little too bright, Kit’s mates bring him right back down to earth.

“This job can be really glamourous, and you can be at some awesome places, on set doing some really nice pictures with really cool people, but I’d never want to forget my roots or where I’m from. Just because I‘m doing all that cool stuff doesn’t mean I’m any different, so I love going home and seeing the boys and literally just sitting in the local pub and having a pint.” Alongside the design collaboration aspirations, Kit has spent the last few months attending acting classes in New York.

His new-year goals might be starting to stray away from the posing and the pouting, but for many, they’re chasing Kit’s career.

  1. If I was part of his agency I’d ask he never be photographed glamorizing a cigarette, I was fine with all the photography until the last one in this shoot, what a disappointment. It’s 2018 what part of cigarettes do photographers not understand? They are disgusting cancer sticks. Nothing is a bigger turn off.
