Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2019 Campaign

The Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2019 Campaign men’s collection by Km Jones hits stores today and just got topped up on DIOR.com

Lightened up silhouettes, colors and materials make the man for the #DiorSummer19 collection as Kim Jones brings a gust of fresh air to the world of menswear.

Against toile de Jouy, floral motifs and soft tailoring, a host of accessories from the #DiorSaddle pouch to a laser-cut ‘cannage’ carryall, graphic jewelry and a cute bee, from the commissioning of the artist @KAWS, provide a long list of gotta-haves!

Kim Jones’ reinvention of the jacket as the ‘Tailleur Oblique’, cutting it on the diagonal so that it appears to wrap the body with a subtle sensuality. Paired with easy trousers, it defines a wholly modern notion of what a man’s suit can be.

The fashion designer built a cotton voile shirt fully embroidered with thousands of hand-cut feathers to create an abstract Toile de Jouy effect. The savoir-faire in the Dior Men atelier is pushed to new, modern heights.

The #DiorSaddle bag gets the men’s treatment for the first time. Case in point this covetable backpack with a Dior ‘Saddle’-shaped pocket and striped strap fitted with a ‘CD’ utility buckle specially designed by @MatthewMWilliams. A bee key ring by American artist KAWS adds a dose of humor. ⠀

The casual chic attitude of the #DiorSummer19 men’s collection by @MrKimJones pairs a double-breasted jacket with sneakers and shorts in pale fluid stripes inspired by the work of one of the House’s famed former illustrators, René Gruau.
