“La Balance” or the scale in French is the work of photogapher and creative director Stéphane Gaboué for Nataal artsy magazine.
La Balance (‘the scale’ in French) is a take on boxing weigh-in imagery, with their inevitable brawls, photo ops and sense of anticipation. For this story, 18 new faces were shot over a year between Côte d’Ivoire and France
L’heure de la pesée
Shot in Paris, Stéphane worked with model and fighter Antoine Mourieult who has been lensed by Daniel Jaems in London as well.
A take on weigh-in imagery, with their photo ops, occasional brawls, and sense of anticipation, the story was shot over a year between France and Côte d’Ivoire.
18 models, most of which doing their modelling debut, were phototographed for the project.
