Zegna Menswear Fall 2024 Milan

ZEGNA’s Winter 2024 Fashion Show Showcases The Oasi of Cashmere, a Journey Towards Traceability. Artistic director Alessandro Sartori unveiled a beautiful collection that was an evolution of his staples that felt fresh and innovative.

A luxurious realm of cashmere with ZEGNA’s Winter 2024 Fashion Show, where The Oasi of Cashmere takes center stage as a pivotal milestone on the Road to Traceability. In a bold commitment, ZEGNA promises to certify Oasi Cashmere fibers as 100% traceable, marking a significant step towards transparency in their production process starting from 2024.

The Oasi of Cashmere collection is not merely a display of fashion; it’s a thoughtfully designed system of dressing that redefines versatility. Each piece within the collection is a canvas for self-expression, encouraging freedom and effortlessness in styling. The spotlight falls on the innovative Triple Stitch Monte Shoes and the sophisticated Il Conte Jacket, both integral components of this sartorial journey.

“It’s like our sala delle mischie,” or the room where the cashmere is blended at the house’s headquarters in Italy’s Trivero, explained Sartori, artistic director of the brand, speaking of the set.

There’s no denying the designer’s expertise with fabrics, and listening to Sartori always feels like taking a crash course in the treatment of textiles. This time was no different, as he continues to forge ahead with his extensive research and experimentation in fabrications, materials and dyes. The result was a beautiful collection that was an organic evolution of Sartori’s staples that felt fresh and innovative.

Layering was a key word, without losing the feeling of ease, comfort and effortlessness, but in this collection volumes and shapes were a bit more generous and enveloping than in the past.

The designs were neither entirely stiff nor completely loose, and Sartori put the accent on hybridizing what he believes are the brand’s four main categories — tops, bottoms, underpinnings, and accessories — in an open system that can be layered and combined according to one’s personal styling. To this end, he gave more shape to ribbed and padded jumpers that were worn as outerwear, for example, such as a particular stunner — a knit in shaved cashmere.

What sets The Oasi of Cashmere apart is its dynamic approach to silhouettes.

The collection embraces artful layering and a dimensional exploration of color, resulting in ever-evolving and captivating ensembles. ZEGNA’s commitment to traceability seamlessly integrates with the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship, ensuring that each garment tells a story that goes beyond its aesthetic appeal.

He spoke of “a reshaping of matter and a re-mattering of shapes” and the lineup included a more outdoorsy, utilitarian and workwear edge. There were plenty of pockets, supersized or slanted on the new boxy jackets in Harris tweed or soft leather. Pockets were also lowered on the 80-cm long cashmere jackets,  elongated for fall.

As fashion enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the Winter 2024 Fashion Show, The Oasi of Cashmere emerges as a symbol of opulence and sustainability. ZEGNA not only invites you to witness a spectacular display of design but also to join them on a journey towards a more transparent and responsible future in the world of high fashion.
