Walter Van Beirendock Spring/Summer 2025 Paris

In a breathtaking presentation at the Paris Fashion Week, Belgian designer Walter Van Beirendonck unveiled his Spring/Summer 2025 collection entitled “I Have Seen the Future.” The captivating show combined elements of nostalgia, humor, and social commentary in a way that only Van Beirendonck could achieve.

The garden setting provided an idyllic backdrop for the event, with its natural beauty and serene atmosphere, creating a sense of magic and whimsy as the sun pierced through the clouds, defying the day’s ominous forecast. The audience was treated to a visual feast of vibrant colors, whimsical patterns, and expert craftsmanship, showcasing Van Beirendonck’s exceptional talent and creativity.

Models emerged from a whimsical clown car, dressed in garments adorned with tiny party hats, colorful round noses, and exaggerated shoes. Van Beirendonck’s signature polka dots took center stage, appearing in various forms such as jacquard suits, padded trousers, and oversized buttons. The collection also paid homage to the designer’s Belgian heritage with the inclusion of Pierrot collars, which were playfully deconstructed into shirt ruffles.

This season’s collection takes on a special significance, as Van Beirendonck remains one of only two members of the renowned Antwerp Six still designing under their eponymous labels and showcasing their work on the runway. With “I Have Seen the Future,” Van Beirendonck continues to break new ground and push the boundaries of fashion, leaving his indelible mark on the industry.

In conjunction with the fashion show, Van Beirendonck celebrated the launch of his book “DRAW THE WORLD AWAKE” with a booksigning and exhibition event. The publication features over 500 original drawings and collages, offering a rare glimpse into the designer’s creative process and providing a comprehensive visual archive of his work over the past four decades.

Walter Van Beirendonck’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is a testament to the designer’s remarkable vision and his ability to fuse diverse cultural influences, artistry, and social awareness in his work. As he continues to evolve and innovate, Van Beirendonck cements his status as a fashion pioneer and an undeniable force in the industry.
