Dsquared2 commemorated its 30th anniversary at Milan Fashion Week with a vibrant runway show that encapsulated the brand’s distinctive fusion of Canadian roots and Italian craftsmanship. The event commenced with rapper Doechii emerging from an armored vehicle adorned with dollar bills, setting an energetic tone. The grand finale featured fashion icon Naomi Campbell donning a striking leather biker bodysuit.
The collection showcased a blend of men’s and women’s attire, emphasizing a street-savvy aesthetic. Highlights included short-shorts paired with laced-up corsets extending into flowing trains, sheer net gowns combined with oversized puffer coats, and for men, baggy denim layered under oversized shorts. Collaborations with brands such as Magliano, Vaquera, Better, Ducati, and Kiss added unique elements to the lineup.
The runway was transformed into a dynamic New York City nightclub scene, complete with hot rods like a McLaren, Porsche, and a police car enhancing the urban atmosphere. A notable moment featured Brigitte Nielsen, dressed as a provocative police officer, humorously “arresting” the Caten twins, the brand’s founders. The celebration continued with performances by Doechii and JT, making the anniversary event both a fashion showcase and a lively party.
