Spanish actor Óscar Casas takes center stage this summer as the cover star of Men’s Health Spain, captured under the Mediterranean sun on the idyllic beaches of Mallorca. In this exclusive feature, Óscar celebrates both the pinnacle of his professional career and a deeply fulfilling personal chapter. From sibling admiration to rigorous MMA training, the rising star opens up about family, discipline, and self-growth.

Carrying on the Casas Legacy
Fourteen years ago, his older brother Mario Casas made headlines gracing the cover of Men’s Health at age 26—just as he was breaking out in films like Three Steps Above Heaven and the hit TV series El Barco. Now, at the same age, Óscar marks his own turning point, stepping into the spotlight with upcoming projects that promise to define his career.
Unfazed by comparisons, Óscar admits with a smile:
“There’s definitely been an upgrade, right? I think we’ve improved a bit. We owe some of it to our parents’ good genetics [laughs], but we’ve also put in the work. Honestly, I think this cover beats Mario’s. No question.”

And while he may joke, the admiration is mutual.
“For me, Mario isn’t just my brother—he’s one of the best actors in Spain, maybe even the world. I’ve been lucky to learn from him as a mentor and a guide,” says Óscar.

Mario, too, has publicly praised his younger brother, calling him more handsome, more charming, and even more talented. But Óscar brushes it off with humility:
“He’s my big brother. He looks at me with so much love. More handsome? I guess that depends on personal taste… But yeah, when I think about it, I think he knows I’m better looking.”

Fighter Physique, Fighter Mindset
Óscar’s physique is no accident. Behind that effortless beach body is a daily training routine focused on MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).
“I train every day—not just for Men’s Health, but because fitness is part of my life. It gives me peace of mind and a sense of commitment to myself,” he says.

While Mario leans toward boxing, Óscar has been diving headfirst into MMA over the past six months. A huge fan of UFC fighter Ilia Topuria, Óscar keeps his admiration humble:
“It’s Ilia Topuria—he could kill me with his bare hands! Just kidding. I’m a huge fan, especially now that I’ve gotten deeper into MMA.”

Discipline on and off the Set
Óscar follows a clean, balanced diet, steering clear of processed foods while allowing himself to enjoy eating—unless he’s prepping for a role. For his part as Olympic gymnast Gervasio Deferr in the upcoming series El Gran Salto, he took his body to the extremes.
To portray Gervasio’s darkest moment, dealing with addiction and weight loss, Óscar dropped serious pounds—sometimes eating nothing more than a single can of tuna per day.

“I had bulked up for the scenes showing him in his Olympic prime, and then in just three weeks, I had to slim down drastically. That tuna can? It was something to chew on, to keep my mind off hunger. It was tough, but not as hard as I expected. I learned I’m mentally stronger than I thought.”

Óscar Casas is not just a cover model. He’s a symbol of dedication, discipline, and the kind of quiet charisma that makes a man unforgettable. As he carves out his own legacy, it’s clear that the Casas name will remain a powerful force in Spanish entertainment—and beyond.

I’m certain he has ample guidance on how to pose, so it’s hard to believe he’s not a skilled poser. However, he’s undeniably handsome.
