Visionary Moscow-based photographer Nikita Kar—known on Instagram as @nikita_kar—continues to push the boundaries of the male form, intimacy, and psychological depth. In his latest project featuring longtime muse Dmitry Averyanov, he turns physical tension into a visual meditation on liberation.
The series opens with a quote from Nikita himself:
“My shackles are unraveling. With every loosened knot, it becomes easier to breathe fully.”

Where many photographers might explore nudity as a gesture of exposure, Nikita flips the concept: Dmitry is completely nude yet paradoxically hidden—his entire sculpted physique wrapped, bound, and cinched in a dense web of knots and ropework.
