Saint Petersburg photographer Aleksey Batalov turns his lens on Moscow model @qoojgee in a striking outdoor portrait series shaped by sunlight, water, and movement.
Batalov approaches the male physique almost like sculpture. Hard shadows define the body in the black-and-white photographs, while brilliant blue skies and warm earth tones give the color images a vivid summer atmosphere. Low camera angles make the figure feel monumental; quieter close-ups introduce a more intimate, contemplative mood.
Water becomes another expressive element. Splashes break across the frame, reflections soften the model’s silhouette, and moments of motion keep the story from feeling overly posed. The contrast between control and spontaneity is what gives the series its energy.
