For Spring 2027, Custo Barcelona brought its unmistakable appetite for color, print and texture to Milan with “Unexpected,” a collection that approached menswear with a lighter, more relaxed attitude.
The men’s looks were built around fluid proportions and easy layering. Loose trousers appeared throughout, often sitting low and falling generously over sandals, while lightweight knits, tanks and open-neck tops kept the silhouettes appropriate for the warmer season.
“Unexpected” was at its strongest when Custo’s graphic vocabulary entered the picture. Acid yellow, mint green, turquoise and citrus tones energized the runway, appearing in abstract prints, semi-sheer knits and coordinated sets. A bright yellow patterned top and trouser combination delivered one of the collection’s boldest menswear statements, while aqua trousers paired with a dark graphic sleeveless top offered a sportier alternative.
Elsewhere, the palette softened considerably. Cream, stone, beige and washed white gave the collection breathing room, with relaxed cargo-style pants, roomy trousers and lightweight tops creating an almost resort-like ease. Pops of pastel blue, pink and green kept these quieter looks connected to the broader Custo Barcelona universe.
The result is recognizably Custo, but less overloaded: colorful, youthful and experimental menswear designed with movement and summer in mind.
