Barbara herself is from the Faroe Islands which has inspired her to design and create visionary clothing with an experimental approach to the form. The Barbara I Gongini collection stresses the sustainability principle. The label was recently nominated for the Ethical Aware in 2010 by the Danish Fashion Award Committee.
