Men’s Festival Style Guide // Fashionably Male

April is here, and also Music Festivals and art performances is coming along the way, you think you are prepared for all this massive day?, Its a big struggle, is like jumping around, making some lines to go to bathroom, to buy some drinks, or just laying around on the floor, dancing like crazy. And then suddenly you favorite artist is just playing like 40 minutes and you are looking for a big tree to stay and protect from the big rays of sun. Festivals requires temperamental and strong attitude. Of course if you don’t consume any drugs or alcohol. But the question remains: How does one survive and celebrate a music festival without looking square, undignified, or like one of those scowling minors?  Guys have it easier: sunglasses, boots, jeans or shorts, and t-shirt. Still, there are opportunities to carefully break some rules, as you’ll see below:

Shirt: Make sure you’re not showing off too much chest hair, though, and roll up your sleeves accordingly. Also: a new-ish shirt with no stains or holes. You’re going for casual here, not disheveled. Alternatively, long-sleeved versions of the above are ideal if the weather looks changeable; roll your sleeves up or down depending on the conditions and layer over your chosen tee as the temperature drops in the evening.

Tees: Stay fashionable this festival season with t-shirts, if you don’t feel you’d wear a band shirt with conviction, you could try your hand at some brand-emblazoned cotton jersey basics. As an alternative to band/logo tees, embrace one of SS16’s major menswear trends: all-over prints. From dark florals and block stripes to animal print and dip-dye, this season calls for making a serious statement and a festival is the ideal opportunity to get as playful as possible.

Jeans: Please make sure to wear your right size. IF you don’t know how to, here’s we can explain it all. There’s so much brands, so is simple, if you like it baggy jeans just got for the right cute, if you like it skinny jeans well just search for the right cut.

The Boots: Try for something with a little height, but not so much that you might be mistaken for someone who wandered off the ranch. A pair of classic desert boots will provide ankle support, protection from broken glass, and give you an extra an extra inch or so. Which you’ll need to see the band, anyway.

Also comfy tennis shoes! Embrace the New Yezzy Adidas sneakers.

Under no circumstances fool yourself into thinking flip-flops or espadrilles are even remotely appropriate – unless of course you’re looking to come back with stories of A&E wards as well as headline acts.
