The designer’s conceptual menswear triumphed at the British Fashion Council’s awards reception in London last night.

Congratulations to Craig Green, who has been announced as the winner of the third BFC Menswear Fund, selected from a shortlist that also included Sibling, Lou Dalton, Christopher Raeburn and Astrid Andersen. The award, which is supported by Vertu, was presented during a reception at London’s Boundary Restaurant last night.

“The panel was impressed by the focus, determination and talent of the shortlisted designers,” says Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council. “All have bright futures and will play key roles at London Collections: Men. But, there can only be one winner and Craig demonstrated incredible maturity, he has a clear plan of how the fund will benefit his business and how the mentoring can assist in his business growth over the next three years.”

The fund itself is a £150,000 grant, which goes towards building the designer’s infrastructure, hopefully to take their business to the next level. Green’s poetic men’s creations have been a highlight of London Collections: Men since 2012 when he graduated from the Central St Martins MA course. His designs are perhaps best seen at Dover Street Market, where they hang next to a boggle eyed monster of his own build — it’ll be exciting to see what he does next, from expansion to a bigger show. Go Craig!
