Tailoring ‘Sport’

Sportswear and suits. There is no reason to choose. Sweatpants with twwed blazers, technical knit shirts and sweatshirts with Chinese. The style that rules in the street mixes both universes without complexes.

On this page beige fur coat by Ralph Lauren Purple Label, Brunello Cucinelli tracksuit pants, Hermès blue sweater and Louis Vuitton white sneakers.

The shooting happened in Barcelona, Spain taken by Papo Waisman and styled by Josie. All this shooting is uncanny and you can find it on the new editorial of El Pais Semanal out now.

Photographer Papo Waisman (Buenos Aires, 1981) uses New York to express his idea of the modern city. A city full of contrasts and, at the same time, a universal city where the feeling of loneliness takes on the role of unexpected protagonist.

A young but bold eye travels through the Jewish neighborhood of Williamsburg, the decadent Coney Island and an unusual Manhattan, which portrays stripped of the hordes of tourists that invade every day. Few elements give clues to where we are. It could be any city in the world. The feeling is the same. Immensity, universality and loneliness. A sample that does not portray a single city but all and none.

Papo Waisman, trained on horseback between Barcelona and his native Argentina, is a young but established photographer who works as a regular contributor to magazines such as Vogue, El País Semanal, Icon and Fashion & Arts. Today the photographer continues, camera in hand, looking for his own way combining fashion with his passion for artistic photography.
