Here’s just a quick look of Adrien ‘Le Fou‘ for GQ Mexico March 2020
Because when a tailored suit walks over streets of Paris, it ceases to be a symbol of masculinity with irrefutable appeal.
GQ March Mexico 2020 is inspired by the French icon Jean-Paul Belmondo and thus capture the charm of the pieces that should not be missing in your wardrobe today and always.
Shooting at Rue Montorgueil in Paris––a neighborhood with vibrant pedestrian area in the heart of Paris. One of Paris’ permanent market streets, Rue Montorgueil boasts some of the best meat and fish markets in the city, along with renowned pastry shops like La Maison Stohrer, cozy bistros, boutiques, and bars diverse enough to please hipsters and traditionalists alike.
Splendid photography by Pablo Arroyo, styling by GQ Editor Fernando Carrillo.
Fernando picked up the best pieces, and Adrien––normally looks better in casual and street luxury brands. Carrillo picked Missoni, Salvatore Ferragamo, no21, a fantastique denim jacket by Celine and many more.
The son of the renowned French sculptor Paul Belmondo, he studied at Conservatoire National Superieur d'Art Dramatique (CNSAD); after the minor stage performances he made his screen debut in A pie, a caballo y en coche (1957) but the episodes with his participation were cut before release. However, the breakthrough role in Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless (1960) made him one of the key figures in the French New Wave. Since mid-60s he completely switched to commercial mainstream pictures and became a big comedy and action star in France. Following the example of Alain Delon he founded his own production company Cerito named after his grandmother's maiden name. In 1989 he was awarded Cesar for his performance in Itinéraire d'un enfant gâté (1988) . Recently he returned to stage performing in the Theatre Marigny in Paris. He still appears in the movies but not so often as before preferring mostly dramatic roles. The president of France distinguished him with order of Legion of Honour. Belmondo has daughter Florence and son Paul. His elder daughter Patricia died in a fire in 1993. None of his children became actors though you could have seen his son Paul in the episodic role in Itinéraire d'un enfant gâté (1988).
This district shows how even the busy center of Paris reserves village-like nooks.
It also gives a picture of how Paris manages to be resolutely modern while preserving traditions such as family-owned fishmongers, cheese shops, and brasserie-bars.
It’s frequently overlooked by tourists, but right now is isolated by the worldwide virus that we are living right now.
