Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Fall 2024 Paris

Another extremely tasteful collection from CDGH+

This season the brand presented a new footwear design that will give an optical illusion as you walk. A playful yet artistically conceptual approach to tailoring has become Reí Kawakubo’s playground… that she continues to explore

This season the brand played around with the idea of how light affects garments and their perception, the first looks where completely white and shined like bright lights or walking angels through the many camera lenses in the room.

Rei Kawakubo’s remarkable ability to consistently capture the delicate harmony of perfection and imperfection in the designs of Comme des Garçons is truly noteworthy.

The FW24 showcase truly stood out with its masterful juxtaposition of opulent and rugged textures such as boiled wool, lurex, silver paillettes, and tiered ruffled trousers, creating a mesmerizing blend of layered deconstruction.

This unique fusion of luxurious elements with raw, tactile materials showcases Kawakubo’s unparalleled vision and innovative approach to fashion. It’s evident that the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining conventional fashion norms resonates deeply in each meticulously crafted piece.

  1. every one of these ‘shows’ looks the same, with a body being draped with pieces of cloth like a Christmas tree being draped with tinsel and the top being covered with snow.
