Feng Chen Wang AW26 Menswear: Two Forces in Motion in Paris

For Autumn/Winter 2026, Feng Chen Wang moves away from literal storytelling and toward a more fundamental inquiry: how opposing forces exist side by side, reach equilibrium, and continue to evolve. Presented in Paris, the collection draws from the Chinese philosophical concept of Liang Yi — the Two Forces — not as opposition, but as a system of balance in constant motion.

This philosophy is expressed through material, silhouette, and process. Denim becomes a central medium, treated as both structure and surface. Hand-dyed and worked through multiple techniques, each piece carries the visual memory of time. Against deep tonal grounds, layered dye processes create a controlled, low-roughness finish where precision and imperfection quietly coexist.

Ink-splashed and scratch-marked textures appear as deliberate traces rather than decoration — subtle marks left behind when order is momentarily interrupted. These gestures reinforce Feng Chen Wang’s process-driven approach, where evolution emerges through restraint rather than excess.

Tailoring introduces architectural clarity. Structured coats and sharply defined suiting establish form and boundary, while deconstructed panels, relaxed nylon fabrics, enlarged proportions, and gathered silhouettes allow the body to move freely. Control and ease coexist within a single look, never competing, always balancing.

What defines the AW26 collection is not contrast, but harmony. Restraint and release, discipline and freedom are held in equilibrium, reflecting a vision of modern menswear that is thoughtful, adaptive, and deeply rooted in cultural philosophy.

This is Feng Chen Wang’s Paris statement — not loud, but precise. Not static, but always in motion.
